As a dancer, athlete and healer Rachel knows the value of living in a balanced and healthy body. At the core of being able to enjoy one’s life is the need to have a strong, resilient and healthy body.
Since 2005 Rachel has been exploring the world of alternative therapies. She is a Certified Shiatsu Massage Practitioner from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley where she studied Acupressure, Ashiatsu and Thai massage. She received more extensive Traditional Thai Massage training and certification in Chiang Mai, Thailand and studied for several years with Ashiastu master, Edward Spencer. She is on staff at Barefoot Movement where she teaches occasional partner yoga classes, that always include time for massage.
Rachel enjoys movement of all types and in her free time can generally be found on the Tango or Salsa dance floor, her yoga mat or pedaling long distance rides. To balance out all the action she finds grace and solitude in her Dayan Qi Gong practice. She loves to dabble in art projects and her current fascination is painting with wax.
With the intention to heal, and bring balance and renewed energy to her clients, she hopes to inspire you to live fully, make healthy choices and to take care of your body… after all, it’s where you live.
